LVS: Using Giffy as an enhancement for employee satisfaction

LVS has a long history of finding creative ways to increase their team engagement. “As LVS, we continue to challenge ourselves and explore how we can engage and connect colleagues throughout the entire employee journey, from onboarding to offboarding. There are opportunities at every moment to enrich an employee's experience,” says Monique van de Lest, HR Manager at LVS. Celebrating birthdays is one of those moments. In the past, LVS experimented with different approaches; from traditional birthday cards and decorating workspaces, to depositing an amount into someone's account. While these gestures were well-intentioned, they often lacked a personal touch and were logistically cumbersome. “For example, many people don't even check their accounts, so the gesture missed its mark: it wasn't received as a gift,” further explains Monique.

The main challenge was to find a solution for the logistical aspect (especially timing), and something that would be enjoyable for everyone. Moreover, it had to feel like a real gift, which also aligned with LVS's sustainable business operations. It was no surprise that LVS and Giffy were a match. “We were introduced to Giffy through Pascal's wife, and after a brief demo, we were sold. Now we upload the boomerangs of our managers and directors to Giffy and simply click 'sent'. It's the solution for celebrating someone's birthday in a unique and personal way.” Giffy works with an easy dashboard, allowing you to schedule Giffys and seamlessly integrate Giffy into existing on- and offboarding processes. “That's a real advantage.”

The dedicated support team is also highlighted as a key feature of Giffy. “Someone accidentally deleted their Giffy and it was immediately resolved by the support team. Very nice and important for the recipient's experience,” notes Monique. Although LVS has only been working with us since March 2024, the first positive responses are already coming in. The enthusiasm of LVS employees for Giffy is clearly noticeable. We're excited to hear that our Giffys are not only appreciated but also seen as a valuable part of the employee experience at LVS.
